CONSUMER AWARENESS
WHAT IS NOT M SAND?
Every customer is keen on buying the best quality product easily available in the market to fasten the construction process. However, even in the construction industry, there are duplicate products of branded labels sold to consumers who ultimately suffer the loss of time, effort, and resources. There are many doppelgangers for manufactured sand as well. A notable by-product often sold under the label of M sand is water sprinkled crusher dust.
Please note that water sprinkled crusher dust is not M sand!!!
Crusher dust is a by-product of granite jelly when crushed using a jaw crusher while M sand is produced using a VSI crusher. This crusher dust is sold in the market with the label of M sand by sprinkling water on it to give the look of M sand. It is important to know that more than 70% of crusher dust is fine dust and cannot be used with cement to give sturdy concrete as the crusher dust particles are flaky from the crushing by cone/jaw crusher. This is often sold in the market at half the price of actual M sand. Even if the customer gains from reduced prices, the damage caused to the structure will cost time and resources at a greater level eventually, sometimes even leading to loss of lives.
– The quality and the amount of water used to wash the M sand determines the quality of M sand as they are directly proportional.
– Water sprinkled crusher dust seeps in the water which will be clearly visible by two days, leaving only fine dust particles rendering it useless for plastering or concreting, making it very different from original M sand.
– The sand produced by other types of machines is inferior to concreting.
WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW ABOUT M SAND?
– M sand is produced through state of art rock-on-rock crushing using a V.S.I crusher.
– The particles will be cubicle in shape as the edges are grounded.
– This is the advanced technology used for producing M sand.
– Even though most of the M sand units claim using a VSI crusher for making M sand, the quality of the sand depends on the quality of the stone used for crushing and also on the washing of the crushed sand after sieving using a bucket classifier.
HOW TO BE CAUTIOUS WHILE PURCHASING M SAND?
– Always ask for bills mentioning the bill number, the date, the seller, the quantity, and the price at which the sand is purchased, every single time.
– Make the purchases from only reputed M sand production units and their distributors.
– Visit the websites for clear information and compare amongst sellers to identify the right seller.
– Ask for a sample to get it tested from the nearest engineering colleges at a very nominal fee, and only then make the purchase when ensured about quality.
– Do not make hasty decisions based on middlemen interventions who promise to get you high-quality M sand. Get it yourself.
– If purchasing through middlemen, always ask for the bill and countercheck online or via random calling to check the authenticity of the bill.
